Beaches In Cape Town

Before choosing a beach as a day-trip, you should of course find information and decide on the most perfect beach for your desired activity: relaxing, surfing, kiting and much more. After your day at the beach choose most popular Cape Town restaurant in that area. You will also find many holiday homes in these areas, so accommodation will not be a problem. These are the most popular beaches in the Cape Town area:

1. Camps Bay Beach
Camps Bay is the pearl of Cape Town. At the beach you will find many palm trees and the promenade offers some of the best Cape Town Restaurants. Here you can stay until the evening and watch some of the most beautiful sunsets in Cape Town. Make sure to take your camera along and take a few pictures. Camps Bay is also the preferred destinations for many celebrities. You will find many apartments and hotels near this area although it can become very expensive. It can be quite windy in Camps Bay but for such occasions you can drive about 10 minutes up the road and find the Clifton Beach.

2. Clifton Beach
There are four beaches in Clifton: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th beach. These are located near Camps Bay and Bantry Bay. These are by far the most popular beaches in Cape Town as they offer peace from the wind so that you can relax and tan without being disturbed. These beaches are all accessible via steps from the main road. These entrances are often hard to spot but parking is available everywhere. During the summer months you should arrive early however.

3. Llandudno Beach
The Llandudno is situated between Camps Bay and Hout Bay. This is one of the most natural and most beautiful beaches in Cape Town. Here couples can come and have a romantic picnic and watch as the sun sets behind the endless ocean. During the summer months, parking is hard to find, so make sure you arrive early. There are also no hotels in this area, just many luxurious holiday apartments some of the finest that Cape Town has to offer. The water reaches a temperature of between 15 and 17 C: Either you have to brave it, or take along your wetsuit.

4. Bloubergstrand Beach
The Bloubergstrand Beach is a paradise for surfers. It is located along the west coast near Table View and Milnerton. It is also most famous for the spectacular view of Table Mountain so make sure you take your photo camera along to capture some of these memories. The most famous section of the Bloubergstrand is called Big Bay. Here you will also find many little cafes and restaurants. Other activities here include: Kitesurfing, Jogging and Body boarding.

When travelling to Cape Town, make sure you visit at least one of these beaches. You will definitely not be disappointed.

Try These 4 Top Burgers In Chicago

Uncle Alton here. When I am not helping people choose the perfect Outdoor Electric Grill (like the convenient and powerful The Weber Q 140), I like to travel and eat.

Preferably both at the same time. ;)

One of my very favorite places to do both is Chicago.

Here is a short report one some excellent grub I discovered on a recent trip.

Enjoy.

Chicago is known today as the Windy City.

But it wasn’t too many years ago that it was known as the “Slaughter House of the World” and the stockyards stood proudly beside the lake.

This dedication to all things meaty and delicious is expressed today in these four delicious hamburgers. Some of them are from fancy upscale restaurants — some are from downtown joint. All of them are just exactly what a hamburger should be — big, meaty, juicy and absolutely delicious.

And not a one of them has a “Mc” before their name.

In no particular order:

1. The Top Sirloin Burger at Prairie Grass Cafe.

Recently picked as the #1 burger in Chicago by Jeff Ruby in Chicago Magazine, this charbroiled hunk of prime beef is simply amazing. After the beef is grilled to perfection, a generous helping of Amish Blue Cheese is melted on top and a couple of slices of tomatoes and onions are thrown on the grill. The entire creation is a thing of beauty and absolutely delicious.

Prairie Grass Cafe is at 601 Skokie Blvd in Northbrook. The burger is $15 and worth every penny.

2. Kuma Burger at Kuma’s Corner

Perhaps the most famous “burger joint” in Chicago, Kuma’s Corner does not disappoint despite the buildup. You can expect a very long wait and blaring punk music — but, believe me, the burger is worth it. The menu has started to include many creative additions lately, but the Kuma Burger is still tops. Ten ounces, with cheddar cheese, applewood-smoked bacon and a sunny-side-up egg on a thick roll is worth even the occassional split eardrum.

Kuma’s Corner is at 2900 W. Belmont Ave and the protein monster is $10.

3. The Deluxe Beefburger at Top Notch Burgers

This little dingy diner in Beverly is not a place you might ever discover by accident. But the Beefburgers are well worth a special trip. As the name implies the beef is the star here and the 1/2 pounder is rich, juicy… and only $7.25.

FInd Top Notch Burgers at 2116 W. 95th St.

4. Wagyu Beef Burger at Yoshi’s Cafe

After Top Notch maybe you want something a little more upscale and closer to downtown. I have just the place. Marbled wagyu beef makes a beauty of a pattie. And at 10 ounces there is plenty of this burger to enjoy. This is easily the thickest burger in Chicago. But it is tender and melt in your mouth delicious.

Yoshi’s Cafe is in Boystown at 3257 N. Halsted St and the Wagyu Beef Burger will set you back $18

Thank you, take care and enjoy your burgers.
